Convergence

Convergence is a series of photographs that began with autobiographical narratives, stories reflecting vivid recollections that had been fragmented and warped through the passage of time. A cast of characters, multiple selves, was created to play out these narratives and bring them into spaces in which they interact with time past and constructed futures. Only through the convergence of these selves can our protagonist assimilate her multiple realities.

The photograph is never, in essence, a memory, but it actually blocks memory, quickly becomes a counter memory. -Roland Barthes
